This technique is suitable for high TDS waters but in case of low TDS waters it might make the water loose its essential minerals along with the impurities.

UV or Ultraviolet purification:

Purification using ultraviolet rays are perhaps the best method of purification when you    compare water purifiers. This highly modified technology involves emitting UV rays via sophisticated lamp in measured quantities. The method have been highly successful in killing all types of water-borne disease  causing microbes and produces a clean water. This method is beneficial because unlike RO technology it does not removes essential minerals from water. The method operates by using 3 to 4 stages of purification of them activated carbon cartridge and the sediment filtration are the main stages. The UV purification method is best suited for open source waters like tap waters usually received from municipal corporation. If your water comes from sources like lake or river you can choose UV technology. Unlike RO technology which reduces the TDS level highly UV technology is unable to highly reduce TDS levels it is only responsible for killing the disease causing microbes like viruses and bacteria. Therefore this technology best suits waters with low TDS levels (less than 500 Mg/L)
